Internship Opportunities

Turning Pointe offers three internships per school year. The internships are unpaid however; the onsite experience, guidance and supervision will lead to a rewarding and useful life experience. References and a record of internship will be provided upon completion of the internship program.

The Internship Programs are all under the direction and supervision of Master’s level Turning Pointe Staff. The internships will offer those wanting to pursue careers in Speech and Language Therapy, Behavior Supports and/or BCBA and Teaching, an opportunity to gain valuable practical experience. The Interns will be supported by the Turning Pointe education team and able to work directly with staff and students in the classroom. Turning Pointe implements best practice models including ABA. Additionally, TP is also developing innovative programming for those individuals impacted by Autism. Our school provides an educational and life skills experience for middle and high school students in a highly structured specialized environment. We are committed to providing our students with the highest quality of care and support. We expect this of all staff, volunteers and interns as well.

All interns will be screened for qualities that reflect the Turning Pointe approach. Any intern who at any time during Internship is inappropriate to any staff member, students and/or causes a disruption to the program and its integrity will be asked to leave.

Interns will support our Intern Supervisor, take direction as to intern responsibilities, take data, make materials, observe, take notes, support students, manage IEP paperwork and support the Turning Pointe Approach.
