Each year we invite Robin Shipley, our parent trainer, to run a Turning Pointe Workshop for parents. The course introduces the concepts of Applied Behavior Analysis and how it pertains to the COPES™ program that is exclusively utilized at Turning Pointe CN Demonstration School, Naperville, Illinois and the Manhattan School District, Los Angeles, California.
We understand that local private and public schools may be interested in learning about our approach, supports, communication and behavior programs to support individuals impacted by Autism. As a result we have developed a menu of Information sessions that would allow school staff and educators to gain cursory insight into how ABA and COPES™ is implemented on a practical day-to-day basis to best meet our students’ needs.
Please note we do not certify any school staff as COPES™ trained at this time. Only Turning Pointe staff can be certified. Participation in our information sessions is not endorsement by Turning Pointe of any school or organization. We do not consult with school staff on their programs, individual students, or staff. Turning Pointe CN Demonstration School is the only COPES™ program in the Midwest. However, we do have some fantastic success stories. Student data supports the effectiveness of our programs. Our willing, excited staff is dedicated to the dissemination of information on what works and the understanding that we need many different types of schools, educators and programs to meet the growing numbers (1:110) of individuals with a diagnosis of Autism.
